Great Resource October 8, 2008 Author Mark Levin has put together a great resource for those in charge of putting together a school newspaper. "Kids in Print" contains everything you'll need to ensure a successful publication.
Great Starter Advice August 11, 2008 I studied the book before I started and found a way for my entire class to be involved instead of doing a school-wide publication. I wish they had included more information on the computer layouts. Great Book!!
Great Resource for Anyone putting together a newspaper April 12, 2008 This book has been invaluable to me. I started an elementary school newspaper this year and this book helped me to organize myself and the kids. It includes all kinds of checklists and resources for the kids to use in writing and planning out their articles, including the 5 W's,a revision checklist geared toward a news article, photography tips, lists of alternate ways to say "said". There were worksheets to help me organize who was writing what and gave me a master list of everything that was going on (some 35-40 different projects at once!)and needed to be taken care of. Thanks so much to Mark Levin for the time he has spent to put this together. It is well worth 10 times this price.
must have!! October 14, 2007 Excellent product for an elementary newspaper advisor! Many prepared forms for students and the advisor. This is a must have! I did find though that if you join NESPA, mentioned in the book, I think it's a 1 time payment of $40 that you will receive this book and another one dedicated to reporters.
Fantastic Guide September 10, 2007 This book is just what I needed to get our school newspaper uder way. It has everything a teacher needs and more. The content is great and the resources are icing on the cake. My students didn't know journalism could be so much fun!
